Joedetic Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Just a quick post to thank the guys at Net-Ctrl (Mark and Stuart in particular) for the demo they came out and did for myself and my boss on Friday. I'm doing a bit of a pheasability study into a managed wireless system and following on from the presentation they did at the Northern Conference I thought I'd get in touch for a bit of a demo etc. Mark will tell you how keen that Net-Ctrl are to get into the educational market, and to be fair to them, they are brilliant at it. They'll bend over backwards to help you out. An example being I wanted to know if our existing POE modules would work with ZoneFlex kit and Stuart took the details and got in touch with Ruckus in the US and had an answer for me pretty sharpish! They did a bit of a site survey and a live demo of the kit whilst they were here and the ruckus kit FAR out performs what we've got at the moment so, I've got the eval kit coming in this week (just faxed off the forms ) and I'm looking forward to having a bit of a play. 1
dirtydog Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Agreed, we have had Mark in a couple of times recently and have the kit on test at the moment. Net-Ctrl are very very helpful and the demo and survey were a great help and gave us a good idea of how we can use it here. It seems really flexible kit and the management interface is great. I'm testing later today in our new building and hopefully it will be just as good in there. (BTW, you still use fax???!) 1
john Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Yup highly rate them Brilliant Kit and well worth its low price (as for fax, yup still have them!) 1
White_Fi Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 A BIG Thank You from Net-Ctrl (especially from Mark and myself) We really do enjoy getting stuck in with surveying sites, talking about Ruckus and, from more of a techie side, resolving any wireless issues about. Joe, I have just finished patching your Eval kit to the latest code so, all being well, it will be with you tomorrow. Kind Regards Stuart
