Super Duper fast A4 scanner

Can annyone recommend a really fast scanner that I can buy for my classess. i want to be able to scanner a document asap so I can show work on the screen.

HP 3750 really fast and good dpi aswell got a few of them in the IT Suites also it comes with a nice and easy to use software and interface

Would a visualiser be a better choice for this?

yeah. I wanted the kids to be able to scan randoms pices of work, drawings and save them for a later date. I also thought the visualisers might be more expensive.

If you want a REALLY fast scanner then check out snapscan from Fujitsu.. bit OTT though unless you realise you'd like to digitse masses of worksheets.

 

My wife went the latter route and 8x 60 litre boxes of resources now reside on 6Gb of memory sticks and the home server. Major space saver..

Probably would be more expensive but you get a bit more functionality.

When you talk about scanners you really need to look into Canon.

If you want the mother of scanners check out the ScanFront 220. This can connect directly to your LAN and provid3s nice touch interface. It can store the scan documents to your network folders as it supports SMB.

If it's too much for what you are looking for there is always LiDe Series
