How do I install DHCP to a Ubuntu Server

 

I have a Ubuntu server which I am playing with to get used to the os I also have installed a gui to it.

 

How do I install and configure DCHP to my ubuntu server using the GUI?

From memory you'd probably be looking for the normal dhcpd server and then a gui to admin it.

I don't think there is a full GUI admin tool for DHCP servers in ubuntu, unless you use something like webmin - which is web based.

 

But to install and configure a dhcp server via command line, take a look at Ubuntu Starter Guide - DHCP Server

I would image it's something along the lines of

apt-get install dhcpd

 

configuration should be somewhere in /etc/

possible dhcpd.conf or similar.

I'd advise looking at installing and using webmin then. It is a GUI, of sorts.
