Joanne Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Hello everyone... it's been a while since I posted anything on here on account of getting a new job. Now it's quietened down I have a chance to play with silly purchases off ebay! I got me an imac g3, one of the very first 233mHz ones... When I press the power button the light comes on (orange) it does its pretty little chime and as soon as the light turns green everything cuts out. I have replaced the battery inside and I'm trying to find out how to reset the PRAM. I've got loads of documents but they are all about the newer G3's. Does anyone know which is the button I should be pressing? If I can't get it working again... what should I do with it? It was only a tenner.... Thanks!
Joanne Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 i've given up... I'm gonna make me a macquarium! Got all the plastics off it and I have a tank at home I think will fit... if not I shall be purchasing a cheapo plastic tank tomorrow!
iSteve Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Sounds like the analogue board - typical fault with the tray load iMacs
K.C.Leblanc Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 i've given up... I'm gonna make me a macquarium! I think that's the best use for it to be honest. Even when they were new those iMacs were a bit nasty.
