OWA 2007 Rendering Problem

I'm still fudging through my transition and my test account, whilst now able to successfully log on to Outlook Web Access 2007, renders like the attached picture. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to fix it?

Are the permisiions on the directory where OWA points to set correctly...?

check your settings on IIS if your able to conect then it is more than likely an IIS issue im not at home where my exchange 2007 resides but when i am i will take a look at the permissons and let u know

It connects fine. Just that no graphics etc appear. I'll go and check the permissions.

The permissions seem fine. One other suggestion is to uninstall\reinstall IIS on the Server 2008 box it lives on. Worth a try I suppose.

Thanks. I like MSExchnage, but there are a hell of a lot of articles to sift through to get the info you require at times.

The article is IIS6 and OWA 2003 based, so could be a little tricky in implementing some of the things an there :/

Yup. Recreated it, uninstalled IIS and reinstalled it. Still not rendering correctly. It allows me to logon and the links work, but it looks like a CSS problem to me.

Is it possible to test it using the internal address rather than the external one?

It's not yet visible externally. All testing is being done internally.

It looks like you are accessing it via a fully qualified domain name is there an ISA server anywhere in your network that is publishing it. I had a simmilar issue where the publishing rule was setup incorrectly and it did not redirect the images directory correctly.

 

If there is an ISA server it may be worth checking that it is at the latest patch level that supports the 2007 folder structure and republishing the server as an exchange box. Depending on the setup this misconfiguration is able to effect both internal and external clients indescriminatly.

This does not work either as all images are installed and accounted for

sorry, I should have made myself clearer - if on the server itself you go to https://servername/owa it does the same?

Out of interest, does it do the same for the light client (from firefox for example)

Just uninstalling and reinstalling the client access role to see if there was any corruption within OWA. After that I'll try the posts off the Microsoft forum. Ah well, I had nothing else on today (thankfully).

Problem solved. I uninstalled the client access server role, rebooted, reinstalled it and all is well. Lord knows what the problem was, but now it's fixed I'm not going to mess with it!

Now then, what about that public folder replication problem..............

It created the blank file to copy into then simply has not replicated. Our public folders are about 35MB in size and the blank DB is around 4.1MB. I've found a suggestion that if you stop your Ex 2003 server using a SMTP smart host (as ours does) and replace the smart host to point to the new Ex 2007 then it will replicate. But then no ones mail will get sent

This sounds very plausible to me and I think I shall sneakily queue the mail for an hour to see if any replication occurs.

So what did you do? As a test I've just deleted my SMTP internet mail connector (to a smart host), and the new public DB file shows activity at that time, but staff came in to work and I had to re create it

I suppose that given a little longer it may have started to replicate (I've heard that it tries every 15 mins?), so I shall let them all know that at lunch time no mail will be able to be sent and only incoming mail can be dealt with.

we had to delete everything, recreate the public folder database, restore in the data then start it up again.

 

Oh also, had to disable ipv6

Hello all.

 

Sorry to raise this one up again - but I've got a similar problem with my OWA on Exchange 2007. It has been working fine but has decided to stop. I get exactly the same problem as the original poster had. Does anyone know the solution? I have been experiencing problems with my Exchange server since a recent power cut, so I increased the event log logging and that process set all of my Exchange services to "Disabled"!! I changed them all back over to Automatic and the main Exchange system is working again - but no OWA. When I checked Services again, WWW, HHTP SSL and IIS Admin Service were all set to disabled too!! I restarted them and OWA kindof started working again but not properly. I wondering if there are some services that aren't running that need to be? Also, this thread mentions security and virtual directories - can anyone tell me how to check to make sure these are setup right?
