I'm looking for any old kit that people are either throwing away or selling for sub-£100. Preferably a decent processor/amount of RAM, but not neccesarily a huge amount of HDD space. Will be running Windows 2008 Server on it so needs to be able to cope with that basically. If anyone has anything they are looking to get rid of and fits the bill, would be very appreciative. Kind Regards Steve Hmm ... I don't have much but you're welcome to it if you want it ... Compaq Proliant ML330, will find a hard disk to put in it, it has SCSI etc on an expansion card. kmount Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Or, we (Grumbledook and I) spotted a hot looking HP Kayak workstation the other day which might be a bit better for you. Same kind of CPU spec except its slot and there's a spare slot on the board (dual cpu board), 768MB of RAM but it's actually more as the RIMMS are only being picked up at half capacity (2x512MB and 2x256MB). DDS3 tape drive in it, no tapes though, and again I'll find a hard disk if you want one. Pics attached of the beast.

Thus the reason i'm willing to pay a little bit for it. No worries if theres nothing immediate, I'll keep watching ebay to see if theres any bargains. Thanks though guys.
