LanSchool - Task Manager

I believe LanSchool Client 'disables' the Task Manager. I know there is a registry setting which I changed but it seemed to come back disabled after reboot.

 

The media rooms do have a genuine use for the Task Manager, is there any way to enable it permanently if LanSchool is installed?

 

I know it opens up the risk of students killing Student.exe but it is quite a decent group of students up there.

In v7.1 you can allow taskmgr.exe in the allowed list and when you limit applications it will enable task manager. We have a new release that comes out in about a week and a half that will include a check box to allow task manager so teachers will not need to know taskmgr.exe.

I thought there was a tick box already hidden inside one of the options menus??

 

This drives me nuts as well thou, as it even over rides it when you logon as admin which is a bit irritating. One of those things I live with thou, as Lanschool is a brilliant program.

EDIT: OK had a look, there is a tick box that says limit task manager/activity monitor but it doesn't actually seem to do anything to the client.
