I am contracting back at a school so find myself back on here. I joined up 19 years ago, I read my old posts and it didn't even sound like I had written them. Guess you change a lot in 19 years. As for the Salaries, this one pays the same as that one did back in 2004.

I know what you mean. I read back some of my early posts when I was bored one day and there were plenty of posts where I sounded like a complete idiot. Oh well, every day is a school day.

Oh, I still sound like a complete idiot but it was more the way I sounded like an idiot that was different.

I recently found some paperwork about that old in a drawer at home. One was an email threat where @roberto was sharing how his experiments with Window 2000 were going. Right next to a government briefing paper about why schools should have domain names (marked "confidential"!).

But to vaguely nod to the original topic (vaguely), its not just schools that don't seem to know how much to pay IT people. Just look a the *range* on this post apple are looking to fill.   That's the equivalent of a NM being 27.5k in one school and 53k in another!
