Bankesy Posted June 23 Posted June 23 (edited) Hi all, I know that ideally we should not be relying on MDT for deployment any more but we are for now and I just cannot work out what is going on with the Windows 10 task sequence. The main issue we seem to have is that the task sequence will just stop on a blank wizard.hta page, seems to only be laptop related as well but the issue is not consistent across makes and models. I was thinking it might be drivers and found an old Reddit thread about the possibility of the machine losing connection to the network. Does anybody have any ideas, please? Thanks Edited June 23 by Bankesy
bknaggs Posted June 23 Posted June 23 We had this happen sometimes and some of the things we put in place were moved AD join to end of task sequence make sure to delete the AD object if reimaging added a 60 second pause into the task sequence as the first thing to run on first boot into Windows I think the main thing for us was moving the AD join to the end of the task sequence to stop the blank wizard.hta page appearing
Bankesy Posted June 23 Author Posted June 23 @bknaggs The deleting and the pause we tried. Looks like it has something to do with Microsoft Runtimes failing to install, took that out and it works. Maybe the device was restarting after installing them is my best guess.
