kennysarmy Posted June 11 Posted June 11 I'm after 32 of these models : 4588105-2S I've seen them as cheap as just over £30 and as expensive as £70. I'm guessing you just pays your money and takes your chance
itskdog Posted June 12 Posted June 12 We're fully HP here, usually buy spare parts direct from them with the school credit card, or an authorised reseller listed on their parts store.
Fazza Posted June 12 Posted June 12 2-Power batteries are quite reasonably priced so give them a try - we've been using them for years and companies like Duracell actually rebrand 2-Power laptop batteries ones to their own. 1
synaesthesia Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Bought a few for us recently, for a couple of staff we went original but got 2-power for the others - 20 quid per battery difference. I'm wary of 2power though, had a load of refurb HP's (old, old though - HP 630 G3 i think?). Must have been around 50 of them in total, nearly all of them had new 2 power batteries in and *every single one* of them did the spicy pillow dance.

Did you buy them from a reseller or did you get them from the same place you get your refurbished laptops from as I'm convinced they dont store them at the correct temperature which is why they are defective?
synaesthesia Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) Wouldn't surprise me - they came from the laptop refurb place, can't remember who it was as they were bought before I started. No doubts about performance though - my laptop, an Aero 365 G8 lasted about an hour on it's battery just taking notes from a meeting. New battery (2 power) did 5 hours straight with youtube playing full screen when I fitted it last week! Edited June 12 by synaesthesia
Fazza Posted June 12 Posted June 12 We've been using 2-Power batteries for donkeys years now and never had a problem with them. Great value for money and so much cheaper than OEM ones. They do good laptop power supplies too.
