The Cabot Learning Federation are looking to appoint a Service Engineer to join our Central ICT Operations team, supporting schools across our Somerset cluster.

 

This is a varied, hands-on role covering multiple sites, including secondary, primary and specialist provisions. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of IT services, ensuring systems are reliable, secure and fit for purpose, alongside contributing to wider projects across the trust.

 

The role is primarily based around the Taunton area (with Monkton Wood Academy as a main base), with regular travel between sites and some flexibility for remote working where appropriate.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading a small IT support team within the Somerset cluster, providing guidance, coordination and day-to-day oversight
• Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure across multiple schools
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Contributing to projects and service improvements
• Working closely with staff to ensure IT supports teaching and learning effectively

 

We’re looking for someone with strong technical and people skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage their own workload across a number of locations.
