One of our users has started to have a recent issue with either of the browsers they use (Edge or Chrome) in which they type the url into the browser and hit enter, but nothing happens. The browser screen stays the same but no window loads, its not specific to any site but this one user has noticed it and I've witnessed it as well.  A few presses of F5 will bring it back but its annoying even though its intermittent

The wifi is strong and isn't dropping and shows around a 700mbps connection speed, its a newish (year old) laptop fully up to date with drivers and W11 25h2. I've swapped the user onto a blank new imaged model of the same laptop and the issue has persisted!

I'm starting to think maybe a Windows update/Meraki Wifi update is causing an issue with this specific brand of laptop - we only have a few of them. I'm not hearing complaints from anyone else so either its not happening or they're just not reporting it

Anyone else seen this? Ironically the only time I've seen it (and rarely!) is on my W11 work desktop so a completely different (hardwired) setup

I occasionally have this at home on latest Win11Pro and Vivaldi browser. Maybe 1 or 2 pages in an evening of browsing so not so much that I can be bothered to troubleshoot. If I were that bothered though I'd start looking at DNS as it feels like the browser isn't making that initial connection.

Its odd as its only really impacting one user/device and dns seems to be fine (we use PDNS)

I would have thought dns issues would have had a much wider impact so I'm trying new hardware in that location next

They haven't changed the details on the proxy page, although that normally brings up a white page.

They don't have access to the proxy settings, all dished out via GPO and wpad.dat

Is a misbehaving browser extension doing this? Do they have the same extensions in both browsers?

No browser extensions in either! Its very puzzling. We keep our browsers as clean as possible

Does dev tools suggest its loading anything?

Hmm, good shout, I'll have to wait until it happens again to try that!
