Anyone used the SPMT (Office 365  Migration Manager) to migrate staff mydocs and pictures for seeding the move using KFM in onedrive.

We are using known folder move for staff desktops now as they were always local. Now I'd like to move their documents off the local servers.

Chat bot wants me to use robocopy but that feels rather manual!

Yes, use it frequently, as it's best way to move documents to OneDrive, and Shared Folders to SharePoint.

You can create a CSV to do it in bulk, or you can do shares one by one. You don't need 1 SP site per share either, I see this a lot, just have different Document Libraries and control permissions for that library.

yes.  very simple and worked just fine.  I used it to migrate, I moved from redirected documents to KFR (sans desktop KFR as our students still have redirected desktop).  Got a CSV from AD OUs and migrated pretty much year group at a time.
