ITGuyNW Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi all We have copilot, which we can choose between the public and education versions quite easily, however the Gemini equivalent is all funnelled through the same web address. How do you manage it in your school so people aren't accidentally using the public version?
Theblacksheep Posted April 30 Posted April 30 There is a setting in the Google Admin console: "Generative AI/Gemini app" Allow all users to access the Gemini app, regardless of licence. Users with the appropriate licence can access the Gemini app under the Google Workspace or Workspace for Education terms. Other users can have access under the Google Terms of Service and the Gemini Apps Privacy Notice. Regardless of licence, for Google Workspace for Education users, their chats and uploaded files won't be reviewed by human reviewers or otherwise used to improve generative AI models. If this option is not selected, users can only access the Gemini app with a licence that provides access under the Google Workspace or Workspace for Education terms.
