maxrebo Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Hi, We have a number of these in school and just wondering if someone with experience of supporting these can answer a few queries we have with them. (Sorry, I've not had anything to do with these in all the time I've been at the school but now been asked to support them) Our original batch were ordered a number of years ago, can we just add new ones to this batch and they will work on the same frequency? Do we need any type of license to use these in school? any recommendations for a good place to purchase more of these? Thanks in advance
clodhopper Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I'd recommend talking to Adam Lowery at Educationradios.co.uk. I've used them in the past & have found him very helpful & knowledgeable

Thanks in advance 1) it depends what configuration was set - if you are buying more then standard practise is to send one of your existing radios to whoever you are buying the new ones from and they can read the current config and then write that to the new radios. There's an awful lot of features and options that can be enabled in addition to setting the frequencies. 2) yes absolutely - from Ofcom. £75 for 5 years iirc 3) digitall-comms treated us well with our last radio refresh (Although we went for Hytera instead of motorola)
