Morning all,

Can anyone who uses NetSupport DNA (on-premises) with Chromebooks check the following and tell me if there is something I have missed in terms of deployment, as I am new to Google Workspace Admin (we are a M365 school).

1. Added the DNA extension to the users OU and the Devices OU

2. Selected Force Install

3. Added the following to the Policy for Extensions JSON

{
  "server":{
  "value":{
  "name":"*.*.*.*",
  "port":1743
  }
  }
  }

4. Saved the config.

When I check the chrome://policy list, the NetSupport DNA extension is installed, but it shows "no policies set"

Any additional settings such as "toolbar_pinned" show in the ExtensionSettings policy, but no json config.

I have tried ChatGPT etc.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ian

Hello, from your provided steps it looks like it should be correctly setup, but the extension should only be deployed to the User OU. We do also have a full guide on getting this configured that can be accessed here: Centrally configuring and deploying the NetSupport DNA Agent extension for Google Chrome (TD).pdf

However, if the steps in the guide match up to your current environment, then please send us an email with all the information on [email protected] and we can investigate this further with you and setup a remote session for review. Or you could always start a live chat with us here: https://netsupportsoftware.com/chat
