Paying for Microsoft licenses twice

Why are we paying for Microsoft 365 and paying again for Copilot to make Microsoft 365 usable in the way it’s advertised.  We have 365 for faculty license which gives us office 365 enterprise but no Co pilot feature in the apps as thats an additionally paid service. However I used Co pilot on my Windows 11 desktop to solve the Excel question, and even Co pilot agrees with me that it's absurd.

You only have to pay for CoPilot if you want the full tenant facilities.  You can use the free version you are probably using at home.  If you can't then your admin has either not set it up or restricted it.

Full fat CoPilot is an additional service and therefore incurs an additional cost. You make the decision if you feel that the additional features are worth the cost.
