Legacy Operating Systems

Should we move the following End of Life operating systems to the "Windows OS - Legacy Versions" sub folder with the others?

 

• Windows 7
• Windows 10
• Windows Server 2012

Due to ESU and LTSB/C, I'd leave Windows 10 alone for now.

They will be eventually, but generally only once people stop using them. The Server 2012 forum is winding down now, so will be on the cards, and Windows 7 has had only one post in the past year (yesterday by @NorthernNoel), so it looks like we'll be putting the old girl to rest soon too.

I think there are too many sub-forums  , especially since iSpy went during site upgrade, it's painful. Just need Windows, macOS, iPadOS/iOS, Linux, Android/Chrome, not 1 for every version of Windows.

and I was only commenting on someone that mentioned something I remembered years ago. Time for them to go I think.

It is a kinda legacy thing, especially from our early days when Win 98, Win 2000, Win XP+ were all in use at the same time, and as the lifespan of these was so long, it meant if a forum is still in use then we do tend not to archive it.
With the Windows 10 debacle now (relatively) sorted out, it does mean we can do a bit of housekeeping in the near future.
I believe that @ZeroHour has been looking at an iSpy replacement. We'll keep you posted.

Given we're approaching the 20th anniversary of MS Learning Network Manager, that should probably go there too.

Appreciate it's now been given a new meaning, perhaps a rename is in order?

Just needs to be Windows - desktop version, server version, Mac/Apple, Linux, Android for example doesn't need specific version, can tag the title when posting if its regarding something.
