david220 Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Hello. I have a geobook 2e with windows 10. I have installed several drivers for the sound using driver finder programs. The sound will not work, it has a red cross bottom right where the speaker icon is. Not sure if it is hardware or driver problem. The geobook website will not load Has anyone else had this problem with a geobook 2e?
3s-gtech Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Is it properly enabled in the BIOS? I doubt it needs a particular IRQ assignment but that’s a classic issue from the past. Does it show in Device Manager?
Norphy Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 I seem to vaguely remember problems with these things when it came to audio. The driver didn’t install during a task sequence and even at the time I couldn’t find a download for it. The way I ended up resolving it was to use a powershell command to extract the driver from a factory image and then use that driver to install it by hand later on. Unfortunately I don’t have access to one of these any more so I won’t be able to send you the driver; maybe someone else does. i really don’t miss those things.
robintech Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 Had the same issue, you have to use their drivers and I've got an old email with a link which still seems to work https://devicedrivers.blob.core.windows.net/geo/GeoBook2e-GE126-UK-2.zip Waiver that i'm just providing the link on a personal basis and this doesn't represent my employers and there is no implied safety or reliability associated with it.
