WannabrewUK Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Bit of an odd one. We've had a couple of members of staff report that when they open any document in Excel it zooms in to 400% as soon as they try and do anything. As far as I know only happens on certain PC's with these members of staff, it works fine if someone else logs in. I believe excel doesn't give the ability to set a default zoom level, so my first thought was that someone has changed the default blank document template, possible with one with a macro in it. Anybody else seen this sort of behaviour?
PrimaryNetMan Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 I know this doesn't help, but as a 40 something, I don't see the problem. 1 1
r_turner Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Not the same issue, but after the latest update, some staff here have noticed that if they open Excel and type in any cell, the cursor disappears and doesn't come back unless you reload Excel. If you just open Excel without editing a cell, it works fine!! To fix this, I changed the setting for multiple displays to “Optimize for compatibility.” This fixed the cursor issue. I wonder if it might also resolve your zoom issue?? Might not make any difference for your issue, but it solved my equally odd issue with Excel this week.
