You must have been working on this all night on this one. Won't a CNAME do? Is there a BDC ...sorry peer DC with a longer name?

ChrisH Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Can you get away with a CNAME entry? I had to do this for some old shares admitedly it didnt work straight away but.... I would probably say that because of some of the mechanisms involved it problably wont work but worth looking into.

MkII Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Censornet won't accept the IP or the CNAME I think earlier versions might - they ask for fewer fields - like just the IP - but that would be back to v3.1 or earlier - not desireable really. Censornet pulls all the AD users using the basic DNS settings.
