Soundcraft Ui Mixer - Not connecting

Good Morning all,

 

We have just had Soundcraft mixer installed at my school. We have it all connected but the only way we can connect to the UI is using a networked device. I really need this to be accessed on a wireless device but once I have put the IP in, it just comes up with URL not found. A ping on a wireless laptop also can't connect but can on a networked one. 

So, this means it is not being seen because it is a local IP? Am I looking at my Smoothwall or Meraki to alter settings to allow this through?

If the mixer is on Ethernet on VLAN 10 and the wireless laptop is on Wi-Fi on VLAN 20 and they can't see each other then that could cause it. Can you give the mixer a static IP and then create a route to it in Smoothwall

Is your wireless network set up as a "guest network" of some sort, with each device isolated from others on the network?

We have given it a static IP which is on the network range. The wireless device is on a different VLAN so that is why it cant see it. But it is not isolated VLAN so it can see the network.

 

How would you route it on the Smoothwall Network > Routing > Subnets?

I think the Smoothwall > Firewall> Firewall rules would be the option depending on how its set up, from my understanding you're bridging the VLANS in the Smoothwall with the restriction of one address object (the mixer) and maybe just https traffic, that way you can "allow" https or whatever traffic from one VLAN to an address object in another VLAN instead of routing it there on purpose, the live logging should help show if its working.
