coolhands Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 We use 'SAMpeople' a 3rd party company to manage staff absence, it writes back to SIMS. They have given me a patch to install (26835) which is described as 'SAM_licence_patch'. Is it safe to install a patch directly from a company and not received via our SIMS support company? I mean they're digitally signed and all that but I've never had this before.
psydii Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 (edited) If your SIMS Support company usually handle patching of the database, I'd liaise with your SIMS support company explaining that you are using SAMpeople and they (SAMPeople) have advised that SIMS Patch 26825 is needed, ask them (your sims support company) to check it, and if they report that no problems are foreseen, have them install it.
