Synkrox Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Some of our students moved class yesterday - I can see the sync working in Bromcom, and other products that link directly to Bromcom are getting correct groups, but products using Wonde (including the Wonde fire register) are out of date. Anyone else seeing similar behaviour?
TheHyperTechie Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Having issues with this at the moment as well. Recently migrated from Arbor (data synced fine from them) to Bromcom. Ever since, it has taken days to update info in software like MyConcern.
mavhc Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 It's very annoying when the sync service provides no status page to see when it synced and what the results are, get better XoD and Wonde
pete Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 I was troubleshooting a Salamander sync error the other day and discovered group memberships in Bromcom are cached for much longer than other data and that cached info is what's provided to the API. Open Bromcom, go into Config > Setup > System Configurations and click the "Refresh Student Cache" button and Wonde will be correct on the next sync. (we were wondering why a returning student had been synced across into the wrong year group in AD). Most day-to-day "put people into Bromcom" staff may not have access to that button and frankly it's pretty stupid that it's necessary (especially at the beginning of the year when there's so much churn). 1

Thanks - I've hit that button now - will see what happens! Would be weird that other 3rd parties are getting correct data, but I wouldn't put it past Bromcom to cache it per user.
psydii Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Isn't at least some of Bromcom on Azure? Azure/Entra is having a bad 24hrs.
