Non touch TVs in classrooms

Does anyone know if there are any specific safety requirements for non touch screens in classrooms such as toughened panels?

 

One of our schools has requested one of their rooms to have a non touch screen which will be used for display purposes only, but with it being in a classroom where students are, I wasn't sure if there were any specific safety requirements.

In a couple of places where we have gone with none touch panels, we have got off the shelf TVs from amazon. 

TLC in our case as they were cheap. 

Did get one smashed up and would only be a cut risk if someone tired to cut themselves on the broken screen. 

 

Unless someone tells me we did wrong, i'd image any rules would come down to your internal risk assessments/policy's.

 

We did however get it fitted by our IWB supplier rather than our caretakers

Just a FYI, the warranty might not cover a school or business, if its a home device warranty.

If you're using commercial grade rather than domestic you should be fine, as these products are spec'd to be used in the public domain. If you're using domestic then as said, it would likely void any warranty and not be as durable as a commercial grade device.
