Preparing windows first time login

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone's managed to create mandatory/roaming profiles for windows 11 successfully.

When users currently log on they're stuck on preparing windows for about a minute after the gpos have gone through and when checking the profiles they're all local, has anyone had any success in either speeding up local profiles or created a mandatory/roaming profiles for students to use

Wow!  I was literally about to post about this topic!  My experience is that we had cracked it, but the latest update seems to have undone all of our work.  I believe something has changed in the W11 build that has dropped ours from 20ish seconds (total time, inc. profile) to about 1 minute 30 seconds.

 

Have others had this experience.  If you were experiencing this prior to the latest update the best advice I can offer is cleaning out windows.  Removing the unecessary Appx files makes a huge improvement and was how we got fast logons.  Doesn't seem to work now though
