garethEds Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 So our handover with the LEA team today saw us become a Bromcom school. All schools in Swansea are migrating and today was our handover day. Now the questions begin and people are already knocking on my door asking - "Can I do....." So the first one - A Deputy Head wants to know if they can create a calendar that is only visible on the teacher dashboard. This would be editable by our Diary Organiser and only viewable by Staff - but hopefully replace the spreadsheet that is currently used. Cheers.
Synkrox Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Yes, modules>diary. You can create separate categories that show the event for different audiences - Parents/Staff/Pupils or a mix of these. Setup categories in config>diary

Setup categories in config>diary Thanks @Synkrox - I saw this, but couldn't find how to create separate groups of people. Probably being blind and need more time to configure my brain to the new systems.
PotNoodleTech Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 So you've had suitable training as part of this 6figure£ Local Authority figure project as have the teachers? 2 1

There has not been a lot of training - beyond what Bromcom on their training site. We are not getting the teachers involved yet. I'm trying to get my head around some stuff as the main site admin here at school before I unleash it. I could ask the LEA - but often it is quicker to ask on here. Gareth
Synkrox Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 You might find this page useful - If there's one that covers your topic I find the Coventry CC slide decks and presentations better than the Bromcom ones: Bromcom Video Library
RogerBromcom Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 The way you could resolve this would be to create a department called senior leaders for example, assign all staff that you want as members. This can then be used in the diary module as a departmental diary with only the members seeing those entries
Bromcom_Kirsty Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 In terms of training all staff can access Bromcom training whenever they need as many times as they need. They just need to follow this link Bromcom Training | Bromcom Training School this way they can do the training in their own time and as many times as they feel they need it.
