RM Safetynet Go for Chromebooks

Hi all,

Is anyone else having an issue with the new v3 manifest RM Safetynet Go extension for Chromebooks?

 

We are randomly/intermittently getting reports of blank/white screens when attempting to load any webpage on Chromebooks. Seems to be no rhyme or reason for particular user or device.

 

Trying to troubleshoot with RM but just getting asked to do the same thing over and over (close Chrome, reopen, send same screenshot of blank white screen)

I deployed the new v3 extension on the 4th of July, and nobody has reported any issues (yet!). We have about ~400 ish chromebooks with it installed on, 1:1 in KS2 so they are used quite frequently.

Strange. It's 100% an extension issue as when we remove all works fine. RM have confirmed that it's not currently a known issue which is even stranger.

Yeah very strange, I will have a walk around this afternoon and try and get some feedback. Sometimes, issues don't get relayed back to me for a while - I will let you know.

RM have just let me know they were able to replicate the issue on Chrome 103. Having looked back it is just affecting all of our older devices. They are going to update me on the status shortly.
