Principal photography has now wrapped and Moranis has been lured back along with most of the surviving cast. Not sure why it's going to take over a year of post production but they appear to be going for a 2027 release.

The usual kind of reasons these days I expect - special effects and suchlike.  These things are getting lengthier to produce.
