We have added a new domain to Microsoft 365. All email accounts have been updated to use this email address. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are all configured and successfully pass any test that I run online.

However, we still have a lot of complaints that emails from our new domain are going into people's junk.

Is there anything else that may cause this? I cannot see that there is. Or any other checks that can be run to check if our domain is being flagged as genuine?

How new is new? Normally some of the big mail junk lists seem to automatically add a new domain until it's had a few days at least live.

Are you bombarding emails with lots of signatures/html/attachments that could be flagged on a new domain name?

Also when you say about DKIM etc, is it setup "prior" to the new domain being added? It'll still pass tests if it's got DKIM applied to the onMicrosoft addresses at least from previous experience, but if the new domain isn't setup for keys etc too it will get filtered

If its a domain less than 30 days old that can mean you are more likely to get marked as spam. Also if the domain has not been seen as sending emails it can take time to *warm* effectively, aka slowly increase mail flow out.

Give it some time as it could take a bit for systems to recognise your new domain as genuine, also as above mentioned, if you use this domain to send emails to a large number of people their system might be configured to mark it as spam.

You might want to configure the new DANE protocol (DNS-based Authentication of Named Entities)

I don’t think DANE would help if it’s a newly registered domain as spammers would set it up potentially as well although not many SaaS gateways support it for sending outbound.
