Bromcom - Payments, Data Analysis, Trips

Morning all,

 

We moved our Trust across to Bromcom mid way through last year, I will be brutally honest and say that it hasn't been a popular move for a multitude of reasons not all of which are Bromcom's fault.

 

We're looking to make moves to bring a few more of our services into Bromcom and I was hoping to speak with other Schools/Trusts about how they have found using Bromcom for payments (replacing ParentPay), Trips (to replace Evolve), Data Analysis (to replace 4Matrix/Sisra) and lunch ordering for Primary Schools (to replace Cypad). Just looking to see how you find it, is it a working solution that will replace these third party apps, have you had any issues with the initial setup and ongoing usage etc and any advice on how best we roll these out.

We are using Bromcom MCAS (My Child At School), to handle all of our parent payments. It works, It is not the most intuitive of systems. It helps that not using PatentPay reduces the number of logins that parents need, to get school information.

 

MCAS communicates with a separate cashless catering system, with two-way communication, so that parents can see exactly what their children bough for lunch.

 

One good feature is that selected persons (admins) can see what the parent would see in MCAS, very useful for trouble shooting, or explaining to a parent who is having difficulties.

We're about to move our assessment recording and analysis back out of Bromcom to DCPro. I wouldn't like to speculate on the exact reasons but staff who have previously used Target Tracker or DCPro have not enjoyed the experiment.

We use bromcom payments which replaced tucassi SCO, its been brilliant since they updated the payment provider last year. Works seamlessly with MCAS and our cashless catering Biostore.

 

We still use evolve but would love to hear anyone who has moved to bromcom for trip functionality.

 

We're just moving our HR performance management from Bluesky to Bromcom, seems to do a job with a few little things missing.

 

Data analysis with do in PowerBi and moved from 4matrix. I haven't heard their are any issues.
