Driveshield alternatives

I've been looking at installing DriveShield on training centre PC's. This will enable us to ensure PC's are restored to a 'best' image at each startup; keeping each PC free of clutter etc.

 

Has anyone used or can nayone reccomend alternatives, pref FREE?

 

I've contemplated steadystate, but made no decisions as yet.

Windows Steady State Just noticed you put that already...oops

 

They're the sort of thing you're after I should imagine.

Deep Freeze used here on all our "outreach" laptops.

We used to use a similar prog called HDGuard but dumped it now as it was a right pain with AV, Windows Updates etc... also hammered hard drives over time as well so gone to mandatory profiles now and life is much easier

Windows Steady State will do the job, it is free as well!
