Andycat Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 We've just had a Bodet Clock and lockdown system installed, Trio and Harmony devices etc. Only some are working, and the supplier says it's a network config issue. We don't know where to start really, as there's not really much difference between the configs on the switches yet some work, some don't. We have a mix of Cisco and Aruba switches, with an Aruba core, and the problem seems to be on the Aruba edge possibly? I know a few people on here have this system, can anyone offer advice? My NM has had to walk away today for the hols as it's fried his brain!
PotNoodleTech Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 I have noticed that aruba doesnt play well with 100mb equipment - are the devices 100mb or 1000mb? Are they POE? Was it new wiring?

Not sure on speed, will check after the weekend.

If existing wiring was it decent cat6 shielded or random old cat 5 drops that were lying around? Anything PoE should really be cat6 shielded. What about Vlans you sure you got the right vlans on those ports?

FragglePete Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 Have this system with a HP Procurve 5406zl at the core, and a mix of UniFi/HP/Aruba on the edges. Key thing was have it all on a dedicated VLAN as it uses Multicast to trigger the devices. I remember I had to set a specific setting on the UniFi Network to ensure they worked correctly, I believe it was IGMP Snooping. Pete 1 1
techy32 Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 Try accessing the problematic clocks using a Chromebook, as this resolved the issue for us. The configuration on certain clocks was not successfully applied via Windows; however, it worked fine when accessed through a Chromebook. 1
