rossibIT Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Good Morning all, We are moving to SIMS connected over to the Easter holidays and our exams officer uses the A2C JCQ Migration Application. I was just wondering on how would we go about setting this up when we transition onto SIMS connected as we will have no S:/ connected to send or receive files? I have rung A2C and Avcosystems and awaiting a reply from JCQ but no one seems to take responsibility about the application? Regards Ross
DWilson1997 Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 SIMS Connected - How to use A2C in SIMS Connected I believe you launch it form the Application launcher within the remote session - that is how we did it with SCOMIS. It was all hosted within that. 1
ThatBoringBloke Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 The A2C application was installed for us as part of our migration to SIMS connected. It sits on the ESS Hosted SIMS server. 1
rossibIT Posted April 4, 2025 Author Posted April 4, 2025 Morning Guys, Many thanks for your help. Will get in contact with my engineer to make sure it goes on during the migration. Regards Ross
PotNoodleTech Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) Yep and give them the exams group in the sims connected group permissions area, and the usual exams officer role in sims system manager which they probably alrady have, should be good to go! Edited April 4, 2025 by PotNoodleTech
PotNoodleTech Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Also regarding the S drive you do get an S drive when you are on SIMS connected, it is on their servers rather than on your own network but works in the same way. Theres an upload and download button where you can get stuff on or off the new sims connected S drive onto your PC. It's clunky but it just about works.
