Draytek Firmware

When you've been told by the phone company it's you that needs to get the Draytek Firmware update and the Draytek site displays this:

Yeah and Drayteks website isnt the best at times. They had a pretty big security hole in December if I recall that needs patching.

Please note this is an issue at the mo-- don't update the firmware!!

 

Currently had issues all day with phone system.

We are running the 2760 which is up and down all day, so the answer is not to update the firmware even though the remote protocols are unticked?

 

What's the answer then?

 

and the UK support website for firmware now says any connection to the support page is blocked 😒

Interesting as the 2760 only goes to 1.2.1.3 yet our draytek 2760 is running 3.8.2.2.

 

There is a 2760-delight what ever that means which is at version 3.8.9.6.

Upgrade the 2760 to 3.8.9.6 and it's made no difference at all.

Very popular with VOIP suppliers, in fact was talking to one on site earlier, glad we don't run any, never given many issues but never been a big fan on it.

In the end i've fitted a temporary 2765ac as the config is transferable from the 2760 to the 2765 to get the school up and running - https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-transferring-configurations
