Morning All,

Does anybody know if old GCSE subjects, non legacy subjects, will count in this years P8 scores?

The reason why I ask is that I have moved to a new school and the students take their RE exam at the end of year 10, which means that the first and only time that they took the exam was in the summer of 2017. So will this count towards our/their P8 score?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards,

Hi

The results will still count for your students, but not for your school. As the exam was the unreformed qual (A*-G), it was been superseded by the 9-1 qual which was introduced this year. This guidance confirms it...

It's also an issue for those schools that tend to put students in for home languages early - French, Spanish and German 9-1 this year, other languages next year however there are still a few that will not be reformed until the following year.

Have you thought about joining the School Data Management group on Facebook - lots of useful info on there?

Hope this helps :-)
