A_Baboon_in_the_room Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Dear All, I've just accepted a new job in a school using Progresso. I have only used SIMS until now. Does anyone have any advice to help me prepare for my new challenge?

bigdannyb79 Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 If your in the data manger role one of the key skills you'll need to develop is writing reports in Report builder via SSRS- its more of a programming skill than usability so will take a bit of developing if you are just used to using a gui and wizards in SIMs. I'd have a look sooner rather than later and try to get booked on a course asap from start date. Otherwise you will struggle to get data out of the system. In my opinion the system reports arent great either so its not like you can just live off them . . .
