Basic editing proving to be a nightmare in M365 apps

Mrs Ditto just went for a breath of fresh air in the lovely sunshine, commenting on her way out that her work PC was driving her crazy. In various M365 documents, she's finding things like simple highlighting, editing, cut and pasting, font changing are just going crazy - sometimes working, sometimes not. She speculated it was since 'the last update', which I can't be sure, could be to W11 on just the latest W11 or W10 change - or even could be M365 update.

 

Normally I wouldn't say this is noteworthy, but oddly I see a ticket logged at my work place, the head of a department complaining of exactly thing in the last day or so.

 

Anyone know what's going on?

On checking with work, it is cutting and pasting links that is being reported as previously working but no longer.
