Best dual-sided card printers with NFC/RFID

Hi All,

 

I'm looking into printing our own ID cards in house, i need a printer to be able to do this. Last one i used was a Evolis Pebble at my last job and this must be over 10 years old by now!

 

What is the modern version or one that does the same job?

I've had pretty good luck with IDPs printers, something like a Smart 21 would be fine for light use. For heavier use a 51 would be better and 51D if you need double sided.

 

Used the Magicard machines and Evolis, the IDP seemed to be the best of the bunch.

We use EasyBadge and cards from digital ID.

We use Magicard, we've got 3 of them. They have the bonus of being a fairly local company based in Weymouth. They've been excellent for us, from sending us small spare parts FOC to getting us an expedited set of ribbons by send ing them home with an employee who lived near us to offering us a free upgrade to an RFID setting printer from the standard double-sided.

 

We've got a legacy Enduro+ that they've supplied spare transfer roller kits for free and 2 Magicard 300, one of which is equipped with the Full RFID/NFC/MagStripe suite.
