Hide/Remove Safari on MacBooks

Hi all

 

We are about to start deploying Smoothwall Cloud Filter and need to hide/remove/kill Safari on MacBooks, as per Smoothwall's suggestions. I can't seem to work out how to do this on Intune/JAMF so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

JAMF has a 'Restricted Software' section, add safari.app to it and scope it to devices?

It's in Computers / Restricted Software James.

 

Add Safari.app there and choose which Macbooks you want to restrict.

 

Mine is cloud hosted but yours should look similar.

Thanks both. Looks like that has done the trick for Jamf. Now need to see how we can do it in Intune...

Or not... Set the policy exactly the same as above, but no dice. We are using Jamf cloud as well.

Could you install it so Intune takes over and then uninstall it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/app-management/cannot-uninstall-apple-app-store-apps
