Jobos Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 The school I've taken over has CCTV using an Abus NVR plus someone has fitted 2 Unifi Protect G3 cameras in the corridor. The wifi is using a Unifi cloud key and the G3 cameras are listed in the console. Although I have the credentials for the cloud key and can logon the credentials are not working when logging on the the G3 cameras directly. How do I view the Unifi cameras as I've looked through the Unifi console but don't see a way to view them? Does the cloud key record the G3 cameras and is it possible to connect the cameras to the Abus NVR and use that instead so all the cameras are in one place? Thanks.
john Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Without sounding painful what's the manual for the Abus NVR say? Some will talk to other makes / models, others won't. Any options in the add camera menu on the Abus?
MrEprise Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Depending on firmware, the UniFi cameras can output via RTSP and the Abus NVR may be recording those feeds. 1
dhicks Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 How do I view the Unifi cameras as I've looked through the Unifi console but don't see a way to view them? If the cameras aren't giving you an option to turn on an RTSP stream, they might be too old - our G2 cameras seem to have gradually lost functionality with each firmware upgrade, we now can't rotate the image if a camera is mounted upside down. For the sake of two cameras, it might be easier (an, ultimatly, cheaper in terms of your time) to upgrade those two cameras to match the rest.
