Hope you are well.

 

I am getting quotes for laptops and been quoted for VeryPC Thinbooks? Any thoughts to anyone who has had them?

Had some at the beginning of term; so far, so good.

 

Depending on your staff there may be some "unknown brand" resistance. Mentioning VPC's "Dragon's Den" appearance and their supply of our suite (still going pretty well after way too many years) seemed to quash those "objections".

 

The only "problem" so far has been "that" teacher who claimed a display problem that neither myself nor the head could see, even under subsequently described conditions and had a key "fall off". Pricing was pretty good and, as usual, VPC's service was great.

Hiya thanks for that. Yeah that's the resistance I am experiencing. Its something we need for the end of next week and as I assume they have to be prepared, they need the order today or tomorrow, I am likely not going to go that route. In an ideal world, I would have been able to order 1, give to a member of staff get there thoughts and move forward. But I don't have time for that at the moment.

The other selling point for the staff was the backlit keyboard (we've never had any and I doubt any of the staff own personal laptops, let alone backlit ones). Makes them look very snazzy which, as we all know, automatically doubles the perceived speed of any device.
