[ms office - o365] Office 365 not auto licensing

I'm sure i'm not the first to hit this issue. Is there any way of forcing office 365 to license before a user opens the apps or any way to avoid them having to open, close and reopen again for it to activate?

In some cases on our site it works straight away, others not at all and needs a whole log off and back on. Just wondering if there's a GPO i could use to help it along
