4G SIM Cards

During the pandemic we received a bunch of Vodafone 4G SIM cards with TP-Link 7200 dongles, however the member of staff who managed it has long since left and nobody knows where exactly they came from (council, DFE, etc). The SIM cards were dormant until activated and once activated, they provided a rolling 20GB monthly data limit and it was active for 12 months. After 12 months, they would stop working. It appears that the spare SIM cards we have are no longer able to be activated and we're receiving requests for students that do not have Internet at home. I can't seem to source a similar deal, as I'm either getting consumer SIM only deals or ones that convert to PayG after a 6 month period for example.

 

Can anyone help point me in the right direction to source these types of SIM cards?

Those LGFL prices are pretty steep, just go to BT direct (or vodafone), we've been quote much lower per-sim costs from both than are advertised on LGFL.

Yeh the covid days are over so you'll just have to do what everyone else in the world does now and pay for contract SIM cards.

 

(Preferably unlimited data as it doesnt take much youtube to go through 10 or 20 gig.)

 

You should be able to reuse the actual MIFI dongles as they usually have the passwords etc stamped on the inside of the battery flap - unless they SIM locked them - you'll have to test it out.

Going by your link, a 12month, unlimited data only SIM is showing as £27.00pm + VAT, whereas LGfL is £12.00pm + VAT - but accept the 'sales guy' may offer cheaper again.

LGFL listed prices aren't terrible, but I've got quotes from both BT and and Vodafone for data only SIMS at around £5 each.
