Hi everyone. I'm looking into cloud storage to backup 2 Hyper-V VM's up to. Currently use Altero Free for primary school backup onsite and Redstore/RBUSS for cloud backup of essential folders and MIS. Would like to move away from Altero and Redstore/RBUSS combo. Anyone one out there have any cost effective recommendations at all? Schools are primary so don't have the spending power of secondary schools. Any thoughts gratefully received from the collective mind.

Redstor's new education offering I've found is very cost effective as it's based on student numbers. It includes unlimited cloud backup of onsite servers/workstations, O365 and Google Workspace.

Ah ok so might not jump ship after all! I'll take a closer look as it sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks for the reply :)

We use Veeam (around £250 a year for a 5-VM-license pack) to back up to Backblaze (£6 per TB per month). Actually, for under 10 VMs you can use the free edition of Veeam, although sync-to-cloud-storage isn't included in the free version so you'll have to use a separate mechanism (I find a simple rclone sync command works fine for my home setup). We also backup our Google Workspace data using a local Synology device which we then also have sync with a Backblaze storage bucket.
