Google - Manage additional services for users designated as under 18 - Hmmm

Hi, We have all the additional apps turned off for our Pupils OU.

 

When I look in the additional services apps list, at the top level root OU, it lists some services as needing confirmation.

 

I have just read that any apps not given consent will be disabled next year.

 

So, I am a little confused as to why I need to give consent, when additional apps are only enabled on our Staff OUs

 

Also, how does the system know who is a teacher and who is a pupil? I have some fuzzy memory of being asked to select the pupils OU for age reasons, but could be completely wrong.

 

Any ideas what needs to be done? Do I just give consent?

I thought it was a CYA manoeuvre from Google and that you were confirming that the users were either of age to give consent or that you had "parental" permission to give consent on the behalf of kids.

 

I made sure the affected services were only accessible by staff as the head wasn't sure if we had such permission.
