_Matt_ Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Hello fellow edtechs, After reading through the forums, it seems that CPOMS is well thought of. That has not been my experience so far. StudentSafe, when integrating with Clever creates duplicates as it places matching unique values in a different field than the existing unique value field and support is not particularly helpful and slow to respond. StaffSaff, no way to import email addresses, no unique key to prevent duplication of records, no way to bulk archive records. Why would anyone buy this? It's an exercise in self-harm. Is this the best of the worst safeguarding solution?
gaz350b Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Only good thing about cpoms is everyone uses it and is very easy to transfer safeguarding data between schools when they move around. Managing it on the other hand is a royal pita 1
kevin_lane Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 We find smoothwall record manager previously safe guard software is really good and the transfer between schools is quite good as well I think it depends on what your trying to get out of it and what your hoping to achieve
thimon Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 “Normal” CPOMS I find is fine. Bit of a faff creating users and permissions, but once done I don’t have to touch it. StaffSafe on the other hand is horrible to manage, I stay away from it. Good support from them though.
Danp Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 I've not had any issues with StaffSafe, slightly annoying that I need to create a new API even though we had CPOMS working, other than that it's been ok.
