johnsssmith Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Relatively inexperienced in sims, so please forgive me if this is straightforward! Is it possible to see if a member of staff has viewed the profile of another member of staff in sims.net? I can see how to prove access logs, but not what has been viewed. Thanks!
PotNoodleTech Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 To cut to the chase - no the logging and reporting in sims is from the 1980s and isn't fit for purpose in the modern age. If the members of staff just have "class teacher" permissions then they should not be able to view any confidential data of other staff. If they have had their permissions elevated in system manager then they may be able to. Probably worth looking at system manager permissions.
miloshmedia Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 As above - better off using Impero/NetSupport - highly suggest you have a permissions review asap.
vikpaw Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Make a dummy account with the exact same profile, user type and permissions and you can at least test what is possible for that 'type' of user.
coolhands Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 the permissions tree is a nightmare and often doesn't work / make sense. Say you need someone to be able to send intouch sms messages but not various other things etc. Giving staff certain specific access is nearly impossible and that stupid sims permissions sheet is no help
