Bankesy Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Good morning everyone, We recently migrated to OneDrive and as part of that I implemented GPOs on both the user and PC side for folder redirection but some users on some devices have an issue with slow logins at the 'Applying folder redirection' stage. At first I put this down to profile issues or maybe a first logon thing but now I'm not so sure and I wonder if there's something I'm missing. Thanks
dezt Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Have you enabled Files on Demand? that might have something to do with it if it's not. Also, something I came across last week, if you migrate Documents to Onedrive any user that use PowerShell might see a slow down in performance as PowerShell modules are saved in Documents, which is stored in OneDrive. I had to get Documents stored on my laptop locally for PowerShell to work as it should.
DaveTheTech Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Turn on verbose messages - youll see what stage the slow down is happening. Are you sure the expected policies are being applied? Whats the resultant set of polices show?
Bankesy Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 @dezt I have enabled Files on Demand but didn't know that about PowerShell so thanks for the tip. Going to try the advice given here by @DaveTheTech
