F_admin Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Hello fellow edugeekers, I'm looking to replace our current Vinyl Cutter - its a 'LokLik', which comes with shoddy free software, and is of suspicious origin. Link: https://www.sewingreport.com/2022/12/who-is-behind-the-loklik-crafter-htvront-companies/#/ Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced vinyl cutter? (Which either works with 2D Design/has good free software) Note: I did just find the Roland Stika, has anyone bought one of these and can vouch for it? https://www.techsoft.co.uk/products/knife-cutting/roland-stika-range
Oaktech Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Roland Stika are great - but we've got a PixMax 721PE and because it's big it's more than paid for itself in vinyl cuts for other schools in our trust. You can drive it with any software capable of cutting - like Inkscape, but the SignCut Pro software it comes with is subscription at about £100 a year for 2 seats, but is excellent. 1
